Peacock Blue

Peacock blue, like the animal after which the color is named, is brilliant, iridescent, and downright bold. Made of unequal parts blue and green, peacock blue resembles teal, blue-green, turquoise, and other colors in the same family. However, the coppery undertones of peacock blue make it a much more dazzling hue than all the others. Splash peacock blue across an entire room, or use it in small doses. Paint the lower cabinets in your kitchen peacock blue and the upper ones white, install white countertops and, for a bit of diversity, equip your drawers and doors with pull handles in teakwood. Carry the color scheme into your dining room by refurbishing the seats of old wooden chairs in peacock blue fabric. Peacock blue is a great color for an accent wall as it serves as a neutral, rich backdrop for a gallery wall, favored knick knacks, or distinctive furniture. If you paint a wall or two or four in peacock blue, don't feel limited in what colors you use in the space. Peacock blue is forgiving and is complemented by a variety of hues, including coral, navy, orange, red, brown, pink, and gold. Peacock blue can add sudden class and grace to any space.
